Urban Street Shots

My “Subway Shots” gallery was just replaced with a gallery of my new project: “Urban Street Shots” These are photographs of the human landscape. About human interaction. I went back to the square format for these photographs because I feel the 2  1/4 format is ideal for portraiture and in these photo’s I generally come in much closer than I generally do with 35 mm street photography. This format makes the encounter more intimate and although in the end it is still “street photography” my feeling is that it inches closer to street portraiture, the difference being however that the subjects are generally unaware that their photograph is being taken. The geographic locations of these photographs is diverse, Amsterdam, Rome, Las Vegas, China, New York, is shows that human emotions run parallel no matter where we go.
